Chef Riko: A Recipe for Recovery

Saturday am

SO how do I feel? I’ve had four rounds of Busulfan Chemo administered in me the last few midnights. Next on the agenda is two doses of Cytoxan Chemo starting midnight. So far, so good. FEELING FINE. No side effects that I am noticing. Maybe after my night meds, my arms seem restless. I did manage to get that fourth mile in last night. I was great visiting with Melissa and my sister Maria who both flew out on Thursday to hang out in the confines of my Alcove. Bry, NIcole & and the kiddos flew last night from Oahu. I can’t wait to see them although I won’t be able to visit with the youngen’s due to age constrictions here on 14K. Back to Melissa and Maria. They came bearing gifts. Melissa gifted Northface slippers and a skullcap. Very nice! My sister on the other hand brought my favorite Almond Croissant from a Delight of France in Escondido AND a mondo UBE cookie with Macnuts. The size and shape is reminiscent of Maui’s The Cookie Lady’s confections. I killed it last night. Purple tongue.

Breakfast. Vegie omlette add bacon and sausage and another Yogurt parfait add banana. I have to refrain from the latter because of the lacto dairy due to one of the meds I already took Levofloxacin (anti-infection).
