Day +19

No fevers again today. Believe this is record breaking so far. Slept well lastnight and slept through a transfusion of platelets. Platelets: 3 Hemo: 7.7 WBC: .32 and now have an ANC:250. One of the barriers to discharge from the hospital is count recovery: this includes but is not limited to having an ANC of > 1500 for 2 consecutive days or >3000 for 1 day. Additionally not be transfusion dependent on a daily basis as the clinic is not set up to do daily transfusions. They are able to do every other day or every few days, so until the counts have recovered and the need for platelets or hemoglobin subsides, then remaining in the hospital is inevitable. Was able to eat breakfast again today. Duplicated yesterday’s since it went down well and didn’t bother the gut.
