Day +24
Saturday, November 2: Persistent fatigue and weakness due to ongoing high fevers. Platelets: 7 Hemo: 7.3 WBC: 1.57/1.41. A few issues with memory as the fevers were so exhausting mentally and physically. Due to the fuzziness with answering questions to the doctors, they ordered a head CT. The blood blisters under the tongue have begun again but nothing like they were after the chemo. The Infectious Disease Doctors will be involved as they are all trying to determine the cause of the fevers and so far all of the blood cultures have come back negative for bacteria or viruses. There is a consideration that the cause is either Engraftment Syndrome, GVHD or a result of the antibiotics. They began to administer Celebrex to help fight the fevers since the Tylenol wasn’t enough.
