Day +26

Monday, November 4: Platelets: 6 Hemo: 7.9 WBC: 1.35. Woke up at midnight with shortness of breath. Called the nurses for emergent need. They ended up calling the “moonlighter” doctor and administered oxygen after taking vitals. A bit scary, but they seemed to be on it. They ordered a chest X-ray and the tech showed up within minutes. Extremely fatigued the entire day and used oxygen for quite some time until the day shift came in and encouraged me not to use it. Did require platelets but again because the fevers were so extreme, they had to plan it around “no fevers”; somewhere in between tylenol and the small window of time without a fever. Xray showed mild pulmonary edema and small pleural effusions. Still trying to determine if GVHD, ES or gut recovery. High temp: 102.3. The team seems puzzled, but still being treated with the steroid to combat either GVHD or ES.
