Day +29

Thursday, November 7: Platelets: 10 Hemo: 7.4 WBC: 1.76. No fevers for 48 hours. This means that platelets were administered in the middle of the night without having to wait for fever to subside. Since platelets were needed 2 days in a row, they have decided that today is not discharge day. Being safe is important and would rather it be this way than to need platelets and the clinic cannot accommodate daily needs for platelets or red blood. Stool output has increased to 950 ml which is larger volume than previously. This is another reason for not being discharged. This needs to be more under control as well. There is still inflammation in the legs so Lasix was administered again today. Output was great - never look forward to Lasix but definitely want the swelling to go away. Walking should help too. Goals again today - most were met, although very, very tired today.
