Day +9

Friday, October 18: Platelets: 3 Hemo: 6.2, Time for another round of transfusions. Swelling in feet continues so the doctors have removed the supplemental IV fluids as they could be causing the swelling and fluid intake has been good. Another attempt at oatmeal for breakfast…got down one bite. 1/2 of a sugar-free popsicle for lunch. Skipped dinner, but drank a protein drink at 11:30pm. Woke up 4 times to use the bathroom, at least it hasn’t been coming out both ends. Was introduced to apple juice as it was not a fan favorite in the past. What a new appreciation for apple juice! Feeling drained all day! They are continuing the anti-viral, anti-fungal and anti-bacterial. Some are now in IV form due to not absorbing them properly with all of the output. Large ulceration on tongue, only a few small ones at the beginning. This ones a big one! Since fevers continued again all night, another blood draw was done without the picc line. Thank you Laura for getting it the first time! Big win!!
